How we will develop patterns for you: short (and very important) terms of service
We are very happy to work on bringing your ideas to life!

However, before we begin, there is one small formality left:

Please read this document (it contains only 10 points). It will help you understand what to expect from our work, what is included in the pattern development fee, and what is billed additionally.

1. The pattern development process consists of four main stages:

1. We prepare the technical brief (specification) and agree it with you

|

2. We draft the patterns and review them with you using 3D visualizations

|

3. We provide you with the initial patterns for sewing a prototype

|

4. We deliver the final documentation

All four stages are included in the cost of developing patterns for one (base) size.

|

5. Grading patterns into a full size range, if required, is charged separately

2. To prepare the technical brief, we need references from you.

These may include images from the internet, technical drawings, or a physical prototype—any visual representation of how you envision the future garment.

In all cases except when providing a physical prototype, we need to see the garment from two angles: front and back. Images must be high quality so that all details are clearly visible.

If you have a link to a reference product in an online store, please send it to us.

To avoid additional charges, we recommend thoroughly thinking through the design of the future garment before starting the work. We can help you with this.

We will carefully review your ideas and develop a technical drawing that will form the basis of the technical brief. The cost of technical drawing development is 300 PLN per garment (the price includes 2 rounds of revisions).

Write to us, and we will be happy to show examples of technical drawings we have developed for our clients.

3. Based on your references, we will prepare the technical brief and agree it with you. Significant deviations from the approved technical brief are charged separately.

The technical brief describes the key elements and features that must be considered when developing the patterns, including:
  • garment type, silhouette, length, and sleeves
  • construction details (darts, pockets, pleats, closures, necklines, decorative seams—everything that defines the garment’s shape and function)
  • fabric type, presence or absence of lining
  • base size and height

If during the process you decide to deviate from the technical brief in a way that requires significant construction changes (for example, if we agreed on developing a sweatshirt and you later decide to add a hood and lining), we will need to modify the already developed patterns. Such changes are billed separately.

We never charge additional fees retroactively—any extra costs are always agreed upon in advance.

4. Based on the approved technical brief, the pattern maker will prepare technical 3D visualizations from different angles.

We will provide visualizations on a virtual mannequin whose measurements correspond to the base figure specified in the technical brief.

Technical 3D visualizations are intended to give you an early understanding of the construction and fit, allowing you to request changes if necessary. These visualizations are not realistic renders.

We prepare the 3D visualizations once. If changes are needed, the most convenient way is to mark them directly on the images (for example, indicating where the garment should be larger or smaller, seams moved, etc.). Additional renders are charged separately.

After you approve the technical visualizations or submit a list of revisions, the pattern maker will prepare the patterns for sewing the first prototype.

5. You may request two rounds of pattern revisions free of charge.

We recommend using them at the following stages:
  • First round — after reviewing the 3D visualizations
  • Second round — after sewing and testing the prototype
(However, you may use these two rounds at your discretion.)

In both cases, we ask you to submit all revisions in one consolidated list so they can be implemented in a single iteration. Additional revision rounds are charged separately.

We never charge additional fees retroactively—any extra costs are always agreed upon in advance.

6. We deliver patterns and technical documentation in digital format only.

Our standard delivery includes:
  • Pattern files in .PDF and .PLT formats
  • Pattern files prepared at 91 cm or 61 cm width (for printing on 91 cm or 61 cm plotters)
  • Patterns and technical documentation in English, Polish and/or Russian.

If you require files in other formats or if your manufacturer has specific pattern requirements, please inform us in advance.

7. We work on the basis of 100% prepayment.
8. We aim to provide the first 3D visualizations within 7 business days from the date of prepayment.
If you have a different deadline, please let us agree on it in advance.
9. You may pause work on the project (for example, to further consider the designs). However, the total project duration may not exceed 3 months from the date of prepayment. Once this period expires, we will deliver the results of our work regardless.
It is completely normal for designers to take a pause during a project. The key condition is that the total project duration does not exceed 3 months from the date of prepayment.

If within 3 months you do not submit the first or second round of pattern revisions, we will prepare the final documentation package based on the information available to us at that time. From that moment, the service will be considered completed.
10. We do not provide printing or delivery services. However, if needed, we can assist with both.
For example, by providing a list of trusted print shops in Warsaw for pattern printing or arranging material delivery through a verified supplier. All such costs must be covered by you based on invoices or receipts from these companies.
